Their first effort ”Awakening the world” was a smash and showed that there´s hope for Swedish heavy metal. Sure, there are tons of bands around, but I find few as interesting as these six war painted guys from Gothenburg. Lost Horizon is 80´s metal mixed with German power metal and by Golly does it rock! You will find bits and pieces similar to the stuff Dream Theater usually comes up with. The production is fabulous and the sound is crystal clear. They´ve added a whole lot more keyboards this time and they give the songs that extra something. “Highlander (The one) has an intro that reminds me of Maiden´s “22 Acacia Avenue”, but what strikes me once again, is Daniel Heiman´s voice. His vocals contain more power and heaviness than a nuclear plant and he has to be one of the best singers in this small country of Sweden. “A flame to the ground beneath” will surely make top three this year. It is that good! You can take my word for it.
